  Editing Ratings and Validity Areas for Generation Variants

  1. In the generation variant header, short description, or hit list, choose Rating/Validity.

    The Edit Generation Variant: Rating/Validity screen appears.

  2. Enter the required rating in the Rating column.

  3. Confirm your entries.

    The system adds the rating descriptions.

    Note Note

    You can specify a priority for a rating. During the generation process, the system first takes all characteristic values with priority 1 into account. If no characteristic values exist for this rating, characteristic values with a rating of lower priority are used.

  4. In the Val. area column, enter a validity area if you want to define a special validity area for particular sections of your report. You can enter several validity areas.

    Note Note

    You must create a repeating group of type Validity Area and Language for the relevant sections on the report. See Repeating Group Types .

  5. Confirm your entries.

    The system adds the validity area descriptions.

  6. In the LA column, enter the required language for the validity area.

  7. Confirm your entries.

    The system adds language descriptions.

  8. If required, specify a sort sequence for the validity areas.

  9. Save your entries.

    You can edit the selected lines using the functions in the Edit menu .
