Use

You can use this procedure to copy the standard workflow templates that SAP provides for HR Administrative Services .

Caution Caution

Under no circumstances should you implement SAP’s standard workflow template in a production system.

End of the caution.

Procedure

  1. Open the workflow template that you want to copy. Choose transaction SWDD, or Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Business Workflow Next navigation step Development Next navigation step Definition Tools Next navigation step Workflow Builder Next navigation step Workflow Builder End of the navigation path .

  2. Enter the Workflow ID WS* in the Workflow field. Or use the input help and use the workflow name, for example, as a search term.

  3. Choose Start of the navigation path Workflow Next navigation step Save As End of the navigation path .

  4. Enter an abbreviation and a name for your workflow and choose Continue .

    Note Note

This is not the technical name of the workflow, but a name that makes it easier to find your workflow template at a later point. Therefore we recommend that you choose a name that everyone can easily identify.

    End of the note.

You can then use the abbreviation and the name as search terms when accessing the workflow.

  5. Create the Object Directory Entry for your workflow and choose Save . Confirm the success message with Continue .

The initial screen reappears. The system automatically assigned a workflow ID with the syntax WS*. You are now in the copy of the required workflow template.

The workflow template has the status New, Saved . In the future, the system will always display the last active version when you access a workflow template. If you want to edit a different version, you can select this using the input help of the Version field.
