You specify which positions, persons (employees) and users are managers and which are subordinate in order that you can define the reporting structure of your company.
Manager
Position and persons (employees) or users who supervise positions are displayed in the Manager table.

Subordinate Employee
Positions, persons (employees), and users who are subordinate to the position are displayed in the Subordinate Employees table.
