Procedure

  1. From the SAP menu, choose Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step ABAP Workbench Next navigation step Utilities Next navigation step SAP Query Next navigation step InfoSets End of the navigation path.

This takes you to the InfoSet: Initial Screen. In the lower section of the screen, there is an ALV grid control listing the InfoSets that have been defined already.

You can use the standard functions of the ALV grid control (sort, search, filter, layout) in the InfoSets overview:

Click on the icon to call the User Documentation in the browser.

The overview generally contains the following information for each of the InfoSets:

    • Status (saved, generated)

    • InfoSet

    • Description

    • Data source

    • Author

    • Changed (date changed)

    Note

Calling up this information can take some time. To reduce the time you have to wait, you can call up a more concise overview.

Choose Start of the navigation path Settings Next navigation step Settings... End of the navigation path. You get to the Settings dialog box. Put a checkmark in the Catalog: Reduced Display checkbox. Choose Continue.

If you are in the InfoSet: Initial Screen, you can call up the additional information (author, last changed by, last changed on) for each InfoSet individually by following the menu path Start of the navigation path Extras Next navigation step Status Info End of the navigation path. In the Status Information dialog box, the user names of up to ten users, who have changed the InfoSet, are listed along with the date they made the changes.

  2. Choose the InfoSet that you want to process. You have the following options:
    • Choose the value help for the InfoSet input field.

Specify the name of the InfoSet in the appropriate input field. This takes you to the SAP Query: InfoSet (Personal Values List) dialog box.

If you want to copy an InfoSet to the input field in the InfoSet: Initial Screen, select from the list the InfoSet that you want to copy over and click on the Copy icon.

    • In the lower part of the screen, select the list entry for the InfoSet.

      Note

If you double-click on an InfoSet entry, the InfoSet is displayed.

  3. Choose one of the functions to display or manage the InfoSet you have chosen.
