 Searching for Generation Variants

 

  1. In the Basic Data and Tools menu, choose Start of the navigation path Report Definition Next navigation step Edit Generation Variants End of the navigation path.

    The initial screen appears. You can start the search from here. During the search, all entries are linked with logic AND.

  2. Enter the data known to you. The SAP system supports a double generic search (for example, <*K15*>) in the Generation variant and Template/version fields.

    Note Note

    • The search does not differentiate between lowercase and uppercase letters.

    • The system takes special characters into account: underscores, hyphens, commas, periods, blanks, parentheses, square brackets, and so on.

  3. Choose with the quick info Hit List.

Result

In the hit list, the SAP system lists the generation variants that match the search criteria.

If the SAP system does not find the required generation variant, you can enter new search criteria or create the generation variant yourself.
