Customer Enhancements for Operational Data Provisioning

Operational Data Provisioning provides you with the following options for working with customer enhancements from SAP's Operational Data Provider:

• If you want to use customer-defined fields from a DataSource, you can enhance the asociated SAP search and analysis model and add new fields to the ODP. To fill the fields, you can reuse existing implementations for DataSource enhancements or create new implementations.

• If you have created customer-defined transaction data ODPs, you can reuse SAP master data ODPs for your transaction data ODPs.

• If you want to define authorization checks for a search and analysis model supplied by SAP, you can enhance the model for this purpose.

Constraints

• Text-only ODPs supplied by SAP cannot have a customer-defined attribute ODP added to them.

• Attribute-only ODPs supplied by SAP cannot have a customer-defined text ODP added to them.

• Customer-defined master data ODPs cannot be assigned to the transaction data ODPs supplied by SAP.
