Installation of Default Spatial Reference System IDLocate this document in the navigation structure

This spatial reference system ID (SRID) isn't preinstalled with the SAP HANA system. You are recommended to use the Geospatial Metadata Installer to install the standard EPSG spatial reference system (SRS) and unit of measure (UOM) definitions. If you choose to use this installer, you can create spatial tables in whichever SRID/UOM you require. However, you must ensure SRS 3857 is correctly installed, as this is necessary for the import of the SAP Geographical Enablement Framework deployment unit (DU).

For more information on how to proceed, see http://help.sap.com/hana/SAP_HANA_Spatial_Reference_en.pdf.

Note

In case you only need SRS 3857, you can skip the previous steps and run the following SQL statement in the SAP HANA SQL Console in the SAP HANA Studio:

  1. Connect to your SAP HANA DB system.

  2. Select your systems and click on the SQL statement.

  3. Run the SQL statement to create the SRS.

The following is an example of an SRS definition (3857) for your reference:

  4. Execute this statement. It's important to verify the installation of SRS 3857 before the import of the SAP Geographical Enablement Framework DU.

  5. You can use the following statement to verify if the entry for SRS 3857 exists.
