Use

The Object list function lets you display a list of objects that are assigned to classes. You can enter a date for the object list.

If you have classified objects using change numbers with parameter effectivity, you can set the Parameter effectivity indicator. You see a dialog box in which you enter the parameters used to define effectivity. The system determines the status of the classifications that is effective for these parameters.

Note

You can also display a object list in ALV format. For details about the ALV and its functions, see ABAP List Viewer (ALV) Grid Control.

Procedure

To produce an object list, proceed as follows:

  1. From the classification menu, choose Start of the navigation path Environment Next navigation step Reporting Next navigation step Object List or Next navigation step   End of the navigation path or Object List (ALV).

  • If you chooseObject List (ALV), you also have to select the Display Options ALV Tree Control indicator.

2. On the initial screen, enter your settings for the object list:

If you select Select characteristics, you see an additional selection screen, where you can specify which characteristics are displayed in the object list.

You have the following options for creating a list:

– You can produce a list for a class and class type.

a. Enter the class and class type.

If you want to list objects of one type, and the class type supports classification of more than one object type, enter the object table you require.

b. Choose Execute.

You see a list of all the objects that are assigned to this class.

– You can produce a list by entering objects.

a. Select the Select Objects indicator on the initial screen. Choose Execute.

b. You see a screen for entering the objects for which you want to produce a list.

c. Choose Continue.

You see a list of classes that have these objects assigned to them.

If organizational areas are maintained, you only see the characteristics for the organizational area for which you are authorized.
