Input Help Editing for Phrase Selection

The input help consists of the following areas:

  • The selected phrases (upper area)

  • The rest of the phrase set (lower area)

    Note Note

How the phrases are sorted depends on the setting of the environment parameter GEN_PHRASE_SORT_ORDER. You can use this parameter, for example, to specify that phrases are to be sorted by the combination of phrase code and phrase text or by phrase key. For more information on sorting, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Basic Data and Tools under Specify Environment Parameters .

    End of the note.

You can double-click phrases to move them from the lower area to the upper area, and vice versa; you can also use drag and drop to move phrases with characteristics that can have multiple values assigned.

You can use the dialog box pushbuttons to search for, sort, and move phrases. Note the following:

with the quick info text Search

You can search for complete phrase keys and complete words. You cannot search generically.

Text/Long text

You can switch between short and long text display. You use the Long text indicator in Phrase Set-to-Attribute Assignment to specify whether the short text or long text of the phrases is displayed when you call the input help.
