This process supports the hiring of an employee for concurrent employment.

The process is started as follows:

  • By the Recruiter in SAP E-Recruiting

    In this case, the Recruiter starts the transfer activity in SAP E-Recruiting. This automatically transfers the internal employee’s data from the SAP E-Recruiting system into the HR system, using an XI Interface. A workflow is also started, which starts the hiring process for concurrent employment in the HR system.

  • By the HR Administrator

    In this case, the HR Administrator manually completes the form (the same form that was filled automatically with data, using the XI interface, when started by the Recruiter in SAP E-Recruiting, as described above).

In addition to the Recruiter or HR Administrator, the employee, for whom the additional contract is created, is also involved in the process. The employee receives an e-mail requesting him or her to execute My First Days under Life and Work Events in Employee Self Services.

Prerequisites

To be able to use this sample process for test purposes, you must have performed the Customizing activities for HR Administrative Services as described in Start of the navigation path Configuration of Forms/Processes Next navigation step Sample Processes for HCM Processes and Forms End of the navigation path.

To be able to send the data, using the XI interface, you must have performed the Customizing activities for HR Administrative Services as described in:

Process

  1. Start of the hiring process

    • The Recruiter starts the hiring process

      The Recruiter transfers the data so that the system pre-fills the fields of the form ISR_IF_SHU3 with the data from the XI interface.

    • The HR Administrator starts the hiring process

      The HR Administrator chooses the Hiring (US) process and enters the applicant’s data manually in form ISR_IF_SHU3.

  2. HR Administrator receives work item with data from SAP E-Recruiting and selects process

    In this step, the HR Administrator receives a work item with the information that the internal applicant´s data has been received from SAP E-Recruiting. The process Request for Additional Contract US can be selected to process the data sent from SAP E-Recruiting. These processes are displayed in a list for the HR Administrator. He or she selects the appropriate process.

  3. HR Administrator receives work item with data from SAP E-Recruiting, starts process, corrects, and completes data for Hiring (Form ISR_HRASR_SHU3)

    The HR Administrator starts the hiring for concurrent employment. The data from SAP E-Recruiting is transferred into the form ISR_HRASR_SHU3, but can be overwritten or supplemented by the HR Administrator.

  4. HR Administrator completes data for hiring (form ISR_HRASR_SHU4)

    The objective is to update the employee’s tax data so that the HR master data makes it possible to run a payroll for this employee.

  5. Employee receives an e-mail

    The system sends an e-mail to the employee, for whom the additional contract has been created, requesting him or her to start My First Days under Life and Work Events in Employee Self-Services.

  6. End of process

Result

The HR master record for the employee is updated with the additional contract.
