Enhancement of IDoc During Inbound Delivery

Use

You can use this function to dispatch the inbound delivery created in the ERP system to SAP ICH through an IDoc.

Integration

  • Incoming IDoc

Based on the plant and storage location of the item in the scheduling agreement, it is clear whether a contract packager (CP) is involved in the inbound process.

If the goods have to be first delivered to a CP, then the CP plant and storage location should be identified in the IDoc.

If no storage location is mentioned in the IDoc, then the IDoc is rejected. The system has to ensure that the vendor knows that the goods have to be delivered to the CP, which has a different address from the plant; no enrichment is done for it.

    Note Note

Communication with SAP ICH is different as the MRP area is used to represent the ship-to-location in SAP ICH.

For more information about the MRP area, see Master Data .

    End of the note.
  • Outgoing IDoc (the ERP system to SAP ICH)

If an inbound delivery is created in the ERP system, an IDoc is sent to SAP ICH. As similar to the Incoming IDoc process above, the MRP area is used to represent the ship-to-location to SAP ICH.

The replacement and cancellation processes work in exactly the same way as in non-CP scenarios.
