 Process for the Optical Archiving of an EH&S Document

Purpose

This process describes the typical scenario for archiving an EH&S document.

Process

The archiving process depends on the EH&S document type. For each EH&S document type, an entry is made in Customizing specifying which data carrier is to be used to store the documents. Either the SAP database (SAP-SYSTEM) or an archive can be specified as the data carrier.

The following EH&S document types are supported:

For reports:

SBV

Report template

SBR

Report – draft

SBE

Report – final version

For cover sheets:

For acknowledgements of receipt:

To create document templates, follow the process described in Document Template Editing.

To generate and release a report in draft form, follow the process described in Report Editing.

To generate report shipping orders and documents in final ready-to-ship form, follow the process described in Report Shipping: Process.

To output documents with Microsoft Excel, follow the process described in Search and Data Output in the Specification Information System.

Result

The EH&S document is exported asynchronously to an optical archive.
