Enhancing the Setup of Process Definitions

You can create your own tasks where tasks are missing for process monitoring. You may need to create new tasks for the following reasons:

• Process logging is extended to tasks for business objects which have not been considered for logging before

• Additional tasks types of business objects which are already logged are required

In both cases, an appropriate Business Object Repository (BOR) event is required. If, according to the SAP Business Workflow documentation, the BOR event has not been implemented, you must now implement it. If the BOR event is available, the corresponding tasks and callable business entities used in your process definitions can be defined in the Customizing activity Facade Layer Content.

Facade Layer

In the Business Object Repository Instrumentation node in Customizing, you should map Business Object Repository (BOR) objects to business object types, corresponding tasks and callable business entities. You can also map BOR events to tasks.
