Defining a Standard ClassLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

If an object is classified in more than one class, you can define a standard class for the object. The standard class then serves as the default class for an object. If you call classification data for an object, you see the assignment to the standard class unless you enter a different class.

Procedure

You define a standard class when you assign an object or a class to one or more classes.

  1. You can select the column for the standard class indicator as soon as you assign an object to a class. The indicator is available for entry at this stage.

  2.  You can only defineonestandard class!

  3. If you want to change the standard class for an object once you have set it, you must delete the indicator for the existing standard class before you can select the indicator for the new standard class.
