You can use this process to communicate between various systems during the inbound process.
The ERP system to SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
The ERP system forwards the inbound delivery to SAP EWM to trigger the goods receipt process. A warehouse request is then created in SAP EWM.
The ERP system to SAP SCM - APO
The planning engine in SAP SCM gets the updated scheduling agreement from the core interface (CIF).
The ERP system to SAP ICH
The ERP system forwards the inbound delivery to SAP ICH by means of an IDoc, which enables the supplier to double-check the consistency.
SAP ICH to the ERP system
If an advanced shipping notification (ASN) has been created in SAP ICH, then it is sent to the ERP system. If there is a valid materials requirement planning (MRP) area in the ERP system, the plant and the default receiving storage location of this MRP area are used to create the new inbound delivery in the ERP system.
SAP ICH to SAP SCM - APO
After validating the ASN, an inbound delivery is created in the ERP system. This inbound delivery has the same plant and storage location as the ship-to-location in the ASN. SAP ICH internally corresponds to the ship-to-location that is the plant and storage location to an MRP area (CP location) in SAP SCM.
The ERP system to SAP CRM
Using CRM Middleware, the MRP areas of business type CP is downloaded into SAP CRM, where the mapping between a business partner and an MRP area occurs. During downloading, a business partner is created in SAP CRM. This is enriched by the MRP-area-related address data provided through the default storage location in the ERP system.
SAP CRM to SAP SCM
The mapping between an MRP area and business partner is duplicated in SAP SCM through application link enabling (ALE).
