You navigate through the main scene of the Visual Business application either with the mouse or by using the navigation control. Depending on the application, navigation can be limited or disabled, so that you are offered a static viewpoint on the scene, or limited powers to zooming and moving.

The particular application determines whether you can select certain Visual Business objects to display more information or for further processing: An object can be selectable or non-selectable.

Navigation Control

The navigation control allows you to adjust the camera position on the main scene, on a 3D window or on a 3D geo window, to suit your requirements.

  • To move the scene, click the arrows in the navigation rose or simply drag the map by left click, and move the mouse. It is also possible to move the map by using the bubble in the middle of the navigation rose as a joystick.

  • To reset the map to its initial position, double-click the bubble in the middle of the navigation rose.

  • To tilt the scene, use the slider above the navigation rose or hold down the right mouse button, and move the mouse up or down as you require. Double-click the slider handle to reset.

  • To rotate the entire scene, use the handles on the outer ring of the navigation rose or hold down the right mouse button, and move the mouse to the left or the right. To reset the rotation, double-click the red triangle in the navigation rose. This triangle indicates direction north.

Zoom

You can zoom in and out in the main scene by scrolling the mouse wheel or by using the zoom slider below the navigation rose. When using the mouse wheel, the map point under the mouse pointer stays in focus, so you always zoom towards this position.
