Application parameters control the way certain features behave in an application.

Features

The following application parameters are applicable to the Personal Profile application, in addition to the Web Dynpro application parameters available in the standard system.

Key ID

Description

COUNTRYGROUPING

Use this parameter to set a personnel country grouping (MOLGA) value. In a Concurrent Employment (CE) scenario, the application uses this parameter to filter only those assignments specified by the personnel country grouping value. This parameter is also used by the HRESS_COUNTRY_FILTER Business Add-In (BAdI) to show the application link in the menu only if the employee belongs to the country specified by this parameter.

For more information, see Dynamic Rendering of the Menu (BAdI HRESS_MENU).

FPM_HIDE_CLOSE

Use this parameter to hide or show the Close button of the application in the SAP NetWeaver Portal or in the SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) environments.

Valid values:

  • X = Hide

  • <SPACE> = Show

By default, this parameter is set to value X in the application configuration HRESS_AC_PERSINFO.

HIDE_CE_DATA_SHARING

Use this parameter to hide or show all data sharing information displayed by the application in the CE scenario. For more information, see Data Sharing Information.

Valid values:

  • X = Hide

  • <SPACE> = Show

PERNR_MEM_ID

This parameter is used by the application to check if a PERNR value is set in the specified memory ID. This is used only when the application is launched from another application and PERNR needs to be passed across different sessions.

TRACKING_ID

Use this parameter to track the application in BTracking via a different ID. If you set this parameter, the parameter value must match a value as maintained in V_T5SSCTRACKXSS view.

By default, this parameter has been set to PERSONAL_INFORMATION in the application configuration HRESS_AC_PERSINFO and the application is tracked against this ID.

For more information, see BTracking.

PROFILE_VARIANT_ID

Use this parameter to set the default overview screen. Provide the Main Screen ID, as defined in the component configuration of the Floorplan Manager (FPM) Overview Page (OVP). This appears as the overview screen in the application.

If no value is specified for this parameter, the main screen maintained by default in the OVP component configuration is displayed as the overview page.

READ_ONLY_PERSONAL_PROFILE

Use this parameter to hide or show the Create and Edit buttons in the overview screen or business card (CA-ESS) (biz card). The user can view a Read-only overview screen with no Create and Edit buttons.

Valid values:

  • X = Hide

  • <SPACE> = Show

READ_ONLY_PROFILE_WITH_DETAILS

Use this parameter to hide or show the Create and Edit buttons in the overview screen or business card (CA-ESS) (biz card). The user can view a Read-only overview screen with no Create and Edit buttons, but they can view personal information or record details in Read-only mode using a Display button.

Valid values:

  • X = Hide

  • <SPACE> = Show

WORKFLOW_MODE

Use this parameter to restrict updating of specific infotype and subtype’s records, based on the Specify Use Case and Active Subtypes view (V_T7XSSPERSUBTY) settings or the BAdI: Active Subtype Determination and Settings (HRXSS_PER_SUBTYPE) Business Add-In (BAdI) implementation.

The user can update personal information using HR Forms and Processes. The Create button is not available for subtypes marked as Read-only in the view or BAdI settings, and the existing records for these subtypes cannot be changed.

If you set this parameter, the Request Profile Data Update button is visible on the application’s overview page. Choosing this button launches the process group in the application parameter, PROCESS_GROUP, of HR Forms and Processes.

Valid values:

  • X = Restrict update

  • <SPACE> = Do not restrict update

PROCESS_GROUP

Use this parameter to set the process group of HR Forms and Processes. If you set the application parameter, WORKFLOW_MODE, the Request Profile Data Update button is visible on the application’s overview page. Choosing this button launches the specified process group of HR Forms and Processes.
