The extended results list provides talent management specialists with an overview of the talents found and additional information about these talents. They can personalize the results list. Talent management specialists can create a talent album (a PDF document of the talent profiles of selected talents) and print it.

For more information, see Search with Enhanced User Interface.

  • Qualifications profile

    • Employees can display and edit their qualifications in the talent profile.

    • Employees can compare their qualifications profile with the qualifications required for their position.

For more information, see the following:

Use of Flexible Appraisal Processes to Assess Employees

You can use a cross calibration process that is based on flexible appraisal processes to assess employees. The performance assessments and potential assessments that managers make for their employees in the appraisal documents are thereby transferred to the talent review meeting. There, you can calibrate these assessments made by multiple managers. As an additional step, talent management specialists can have a higher management level approve the talent review meeting. Talent management specialists can then transfer the calibrated performance values and potential values back to the appraisal documents when following up on the talent review meeting.

For more information, see the following:

Home Page for the Talent Management Specialist Role

Talent management specialists can use a new home page to display an overview of all services that are available for Talent Management as well as information about these services. They can call the services directly from the home page.

For more information, see the following:

  • Overview (iView in the portal role Talent Management Specialist)

  • Overview (service in the role Talent Management Specialist for SAP NetWeaver Business Client)

Talent Monitor

Talent management specialists can use the extended talent monitor to track the status of the nomination of talents for talent review meetings made by their managers. Talent management specialists can display the talents in the talent monitor, grouped by different criteria. They can then add grouped talents to an agenda topic of the talent review meeting. The talent monitor also uses the calibration grid icon to display the performance assessment and potential assessment for each talent. Talent management specialists can thus, for example, add talents with similar performance values and potential values to the same agenda topic so that they are discussed together in the talent review meeting.

For more information, see Talent Monitor.

Grouping of Calibration Grid Boxes Using Background Colors

You can make segments visible in the calibration grid by using the same background color for related boxes of the calibration grid. You can do this using the standard color codes defined for your enterprise, for example. Talent management specialists and the participants of talent review meetings can thus easily see which grid boxes contain talents with similar performance assessments and potential assessments.

For more information, see Holding of Talent Review Meetings.

Talent Group Nomination Through Talent Review Meetings

You can have talents automatically nominated for talent groups based on their classification in the calibration grid.

For more information, see the following:

Follow-Up of Talent Review Meetings

Talent management specialists can follow up on talent review meetings. The Follow-Up tab displays a follow-up list with the results of the talent review meeting (nominations for talent groups, performance assessments, and potential assessments) and all notes. Starting from the follow-up list, talent management specialists can perform follow-up activities (such as changing, approving, or rejecting talent group nominations) and update the appraisal documents for the performance assessment and potential assessment with the values that were defined for the employees in the talent review meeting. They can also edit the notes or download them as a spreadsheet.

For more information, see the following:

Reporting

Talent management specialists can use operational reporting for the data in the application system without first needing to replicate the data to a BW system. This enables talent management specialists to perform analyses in real time to obtain an overview of important key figures relevant for Talent Management.

For more information, see Reports in Talent Management.
