Sharing Eclipse Projects with the SAPUI5 ABAP RepositoryLocate this document in the navigation structure

Before retrieving or submitting any content from or to the SAPUI5 ABAP repository, you have to share a project in Eclipse with a single SAPUI5 repository (represented by a BSP application) with the SAPUI5 repository team provider.

  1. In Eclipse, go to the Project Explorer view and select your project.
  2. In the context menu of the selected project, choose Start of the navigation path Team Next navigation step Share Project… End of the navigation path.
  3. Select SAPUI5 ABAP Repository as the repository type and choose Next.
  4. To define the connection to the ABAP system, choose Browse… and Next. You can only select system connections that are configured in the SAP GUI launchpad.
  5. Enter the required information for client, user, password, and language. Choose Next.
    Note

Choosing the correct logon language is important. When creating a new repository, this becomes the original language of the repository. For submitting files to the repository, you have to be logged on in the original language, otherwise an error occurs.

  6. The Eclipse project can either be shared with an existing BSP application or with a new BSP application.
    1. For sharing with an existing single SAPUI5 repository, select Select a BSP Application and an existing BSP application from the list.
    2. For sharing with a new single SAPUI5 repository, select Create a New BSP Application and enter name, description, and package (manually or browse for the package).
  7. Choose Next.
Note If the new BSP application belongs to a transportable ABAP package, choose a transport request or create a new one before finishing the wizard. Since transport requests are not automatically released, explicitly release them after transporting them using transaction SE09.
  8. Choose Finish.

The selected Eclipse project is now connected to a single SAPUI5 repository. A description containing the ABAP system, client, user, language, and SAPUI5 repository name is displayed next to the project name.
