Running an SAP Fiori AppLocate this document in the navigation structure

The launchpad provides a shell for running SAP Fiori apps.

When launching a Fiori app from the launchpad, it runs within a shell that is composed of a header bar and a footer bar.

The header bar has the following components, from left to right:
Component Name Description
Home Displays the launchpad home page.
Logo You can use the UI theme designer to display your own logo instead of the SAP default logo.
Search Opens a search UI.
Options Displays an avatar and the user name. When SAP Jam is part of the landscape, and the user has a photo defined, the photo is displayed instead of the avatar.

The arrow opens an Options menu. The Options menu displays a set of default menu items, including Contact Support, About, User Preferences, and Log Out. In addition, the Options menu may display also custom items that are added by the Fiori app.

Note

When viewing applications on smartphone devices, the header bar is initially displayed and then hidden from view. To access the header bar components, pull the screen down to display the header again.

The footer bar has an actions icon () that opens a menu with the following default items:

Discuss
When SAP Jam is part of the landscape, you can initiate a discussion in the SAP Jam system.
Share
When SAP Jam is part of the landscape, you can share the application with a SAP Jam group.
Save as Tile
Saves the app, together with its state, as a tile to the selected group in the home page, so that you can launch the app in this state directly from the launchpad.
Note The actions menu can display also custom items that are added by the Fiori app.
