Configure the Option to Give FeedbackLocate this document in the navigation structure

You need to make configuration settings before an end user can provide feedback on SAP Fiori apps and SAP Fiori launchpad to SAP.

Context

Note

The SAP End User Feedback team is happy to provide you with the collected end user feedback for your own company as well. In this case, you should send a short mail with the subject “Please provide us with our end user feedback data” to enduserfeedback@sap.com.

Before the option Give Feedback is available in the Options menu of SAP Fiori apps and SAP Fiori launchpad, you need to run a program to make the relevant configuration settings.

The program automatically creates an HTTP destination to an external server and imports the required certificates and encryption keys.

Procedure

  1. In the SAP Customizing Implementation Guide (transaction SPRO), choose Start of the navigation path SAP NetWeaver Next navigation step UI Technologies Next navigation step SAP Fiori End of the navigation path, and launch IMG activity Setup Feedback Service.
    You can also run the program directly using transaction /UI2/FEEDBACK_SETUP.
  2. On the /UI2/USER_FEEDBACK_SETUP screen, provide the following:
    Option Description
    Target host IP address or name of the external server

    Keep the default value.
    Service no. Port number

    Keep the default value.
    Path prefix Path prefix for the URL

    Keep the default value.
    Proxy host Optional: Enter the IP address or name of the proxy server you want to define.
    Proxy service Optional: Enter the service number of the proxy server you want to define.
  3. Mark the Import CA Certificate checkbox.
    You can also import the certificate manually using transaction STRUST.

  4. Execute the program.
    The program makes configuration settings and displays each executed step in the Application Log.

Results

When an end user now accesses an SAP Fiori app or the SAP Fiori launchpad, the option Give Feedback is available.

If you edit any of the settings made by the program and run the program again, your previous settings will be overwritten.

If you no longer want to offer the end-user feedback function, you can deactivate it in transaction SM59 by deleting the entry SAP_USER_FEEDBACK_HTTPS.
