Providing Access to a MIME Repository FolderLocate this document in the navigation structure

If you upload launchpad configuration files to a folder in the MIME repository, you have to provide access to this folder under an allowed path. You can do this by creating an ICF node and an external alias as described in this section.

Context

You can skip the configuration steps described in this section if you store your launchpad configuration files in the BSP repository rather than the MIME repository.

Procedure

  1. Start transaction SICF.
  2. To display the full ICF tree, choose hierarchy type SERVICE, and execute (F8).
  3. In the tree, navigate to a node where you want to add the new node, for example /default_host/<mycompany>/public.
  4. From the context menu of the node (for example, public), choose New Subelement.
  5. In the dialog that is displayed, enter the following values:
    Option Description
Name of Service Element To Be Created The name of the folder you created in the MIME repository under public
Type of Service Node Independent Service
  6. On the following screen, enter the following data:
    • In the Description field, enter a description for the service.
    • On the Handler List tab, in the table of handlers, enter the class CL_HTTP_EXT_WEBDAV_PUBLIC.
  7. After saving your node, choose Activate Service from the context menu of the new node.
  8. Select External Aliases, choose a virtual host (for example, default_host), and choose Create External Alias from the context menu.
  9. Enter the following values:
    Option Description
    External Alias /sap/ushell_config

Enter the path exactly like this since only specific paths are allowed as sources for FLP configuration files. For more information, see Security Aspects for Launchpad Configuration Files.

Description Enter a description for the external alias.
Trg Element On this tab, expand the tree of ICF nodes, and select the node that you have just created by double-clicking it.
  10. Save your external alias.

Results

Launchpad configuration files that are located in your folder in the MIME repository can now be accessed using a URL.

For the settings in your launchpad configuration file to take effect, you must reference this file in a URL parameter or in the FioriLaunchpad.html file. For more information, see Referencing a Launchpad Configuration File.
