Back End FavoritesLocate this document in the navigation structure

In your BW project, you will generally work with a limited selection of InfoAreas and BW metadata objects. If you want to save favorites in the BW system, for example because you use them in several BW projects and want to have quick access to them from the BW projects, you can assign them to the back end favorites.

The Back End Favorites node in a BW project represents a user-defined and structured collection of InfoAreas and BW metadata objects from the connected BW system. Back end favorites are not restricted to a particular local BW project. The assignment of InfoAreas and BW metadata objects to the favorites is saved in the BW system.

The Back End Favorites node is one of the nodes directly below the root of the project tree. Under this node, the InfoAreas () assigned to the back end favourites are listed, together with their BW metadata objects. The BW metadata objects assigend individually to the back end favourites in the corresponding semantic folder (), for CompositeProviders or Open ODS views for example, are also listed.
