In addition to using the context menu to navigate query results, in analysis mode, you can navigate within the analysis grid and the navigation pane using the drag and drop functions.
Many of the functions available on the context menu are available with the drag and drop function. SeeContext Menu Functions for functional descriptions.
You drag from a source cell to a target cell, in either the analysis grid or the navigation pane. The functions available depend on the type of source cell and target cell. The table below shows the drag and drop functions in both the analysis grid and the navigation pane:
Notes and Tips:
The filter area of the navigation pane refers to the right side of the navigation pane.
Cursor States
The cursor changes when you move a source cell over target sources. It indicates whether you can use the drop function for the target source by showing you what happens when you execute this function for the target source.
Note the state of the cursor as you do this. It shows you where you can drop the cell.
Your query results refresh with the result of the navigation function.
