Remodeling InfoObjectsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

Only InfoObjects of type Characteristic are supported. If the InfoObject has a reference InfoObject, this also has to be a characteristic.

Context

The following remodeling options are provided:
  • Change attribute type (display attribute, navigation attribute)
  • Change time dependency of an attribute
  • Delete compounding
  • Activate or deactivate high cardinality

The following are not supported:

  • Changing the reference characteristic

  • Adding a compound characteristic and filling it with values at the same time

  • Adding attributes

Procedure

  1. You are in Start of the navigation path Administration Next navigation step Remodellierung End of the navigation path in the Data Warehousing Workbench.
  2. Create an remodeling rule. Select InfoObject as the type, and then select the InfoObject that you want to remodel. Enter a name for the remodeling rule and choose Edit.
  3. Enter a description for the remodeling rule and choose Create.
  4. By opening the context menu on the properties in the InfoObject tree, you can make the required changes.
  5. Save your entries.
  6. Choose Check Check.
  7. By choosing Where-Used List Where-Used List, you can view a list of the objects affected by the remodeling activity. These objects will be deactivated during remodeling. Take a note of the objects that you need to activate again later.
  8. By choosing Schedule, you can either start remodeling immediately or schedule it for a later point in time.
  9. You can check the process in the monitor.
