Use

You can use the report-report interface to call targets that you have defined in your query. Goto appears on the context menu in analysis mode for cells in the analysis grid.

Features

The report-report interface (RRI) lets you call programs from other programs using parameters. You can use it to jump from one report to another report containing more information. In the BW system, you can call targets in BW and beyond. You can call the ERP system that you are connected to, or another SAP system (as of Service API Release 6.10).

Depending on the report types you have selected for a query in the sender/receiver assignment, you can leave the query and:

  • Start another query where the entry variants are filled by the selection conditions and element definitions of the selected cells of the sender query
  • Start reports, functions, and transactions in BW and beyond
    Note

You need to have defined the sender/receiver assignment for the system to be able to offer jump targets. More information:Changing and Creating Sender/Receiver Assignments

Activities
  1. In analysis mode, select any cell in the analysis grid and open the context menu using the mouse or keyboard:
    • Select the cell using the secondary mouse button.
    • Choose BEx Analyzer → Context Menu for Selected Cell
  2. Choose Goto.

The assigned jump targets are shown in the display frame. A single click will bring you to the required jump target. A new workbook is opened in the process. The selections in the query definition are applied to the jump target.

Note

When calling a target outside BW system, you need to select a source system and might have to log on. You only need to log once for each Microsoft Excel session, even if you open several workbooks.
