Version Management
If you want to follow changes to your InfoProvider over a given period, you can create a manual version.
Version Management creates and manages historical versions of each existing active version (A version) of a BW object (TLOGO object). Metadata is only connected to Version Management if the following requirements are all met:

Type is transportable

Type supports a D version
The A version and M version are only temporary versions and are not stored in the database on a permanent basis. The manual versions provide a time-point-specific picture of an object status and are therefore historical versions. We recommend creating a historical version before activating the object. This will allow you to monitor changes to the active object.
You can also create historical versions automatically. To do this, go to Customizing for SAP Business Warehouse and choose
