Use

In BEx Analyzer (BEx Web runtime, ABAP), you can display, create, and edit documents that have been created in the Data Warehousing Workbench, in the master data maintenance, or in a Web application. You determine the type of documents that you want to display in the query view.

Migrated documents are not available in the BEx Analyzer. Only migrate documents if they do not use the BEx Analyzer or do not use it in connection with documents.

Procedure

  1. In the Context Menu for Selected Cell, choose Query Properties to display document links to master data, metadata, and transaction data.

  2. Choose the Display Options tab page.

  3. Set the indicator for the documents of the data that you want to display.

  4. In the context menu of the cell, choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Documents End of the navigation path or choose the corresponding document icon to display documents for data cells for master data and transaction data.

    This brings you to the document browser. Here you can display documents, create a new text document, insert new formatted text, or upload an existing document.

  5. Choose Start of the navigation path New Next navigation step Comment, Formatted Text or Upload End of the navigation path.

  6. To display additional information about the document, choose View and set the indicator for the respective columns that you want to display: Name, Content, Assignment, Author.
