The cash flow statement delivers a key figure that evaluates a company's cash flow and cash holdings. This key figure shows where a company's funds have been accrued, where they have been spent, and which investment and financing measures have been carried out.

This query portrays the cash flow statement in two different reporting time frames. The reporting time frames are drilled down in the columns. The key figures for the cash flow statement have been calculated using the row definition in BEx Query Designer and are drilled down in the report rows.

The cash flow statement is created for exactly one company code. This has to be entered using a variable.

Important Notes

This query is based on the analysis scenario Financial Statements in the SAP BW System. The query uses virtual provider General Ledger (new): Financial Statement(technical name 0FIGL_VC1) and characteristic Financial Statement Item (technical name 0GLACCEXT) to calculate key figures.

This query is based on the financial statement structure Financial Statement (technical name INT). This is delivered with SAP ECC (Financials) as a Customizing template.  To ensure that this query can be executed without producing errors, financial statement structure Financial Statement (technical name INT) has to be loaded into the BI system as a hierarchy for InfoObject Financial Statement Item (technical name 0GLACCEXT).

In the customer system, you can also use other financial statement items. This query can be used as a template to demonstrate the technical implementation of cash flow statements in the BI system, with special focus on the row definition in BEx Query Designer.

To define your own queries for key figures on the basis of this example, select parameter VCUBE_0FIGL_VC1_SEL in table RSADMIN. Use report SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN and read SAP Note 606445.
