Use

You can make various user-specific settings to personalize input help functions.

Procedure
  1. In the input help dialog box, choose  Settings.

    Depending on the settings specified for the characteristic (for example, with or without hierarchies or attributes), you can choose from various setting for the characteristic.

    Note

    This dialog box displays those settings for the characteristic on the Web that are suitable in the input help dialog box.

    There are a number of setting options here that specifically concern the input help dialog and are not offered in the properties dialog for the characteristic:

    Tab Page: General

    Under Access Mode for Filter Values, you can restrict the number of values displayed in the input help dialog. You can use the following criteria to do this:

    • Only Values with Posted Data in the Current Navigational State

      The system displays only posted values from the current navigational state.

    • Only Values in InfoProvider

      The system displays only values contained in the InfoProvider.

    • Values in Master Data Table

      The system displays all characteristic values from the master data, independently of transaction data.

    Tab Page: Hierarchy

    Under Access Mode, you can restrict which values are displayed in the hierarchy using the criteria described above:

    • Only Posted Values for Navigation
    • Only Values in InfoProvider
    • Values in Master Data Table
  2. Make the required settings.
  3. Choose OK.
Result

The settings made are displayed in the input help dialog box.
