 Functions in the Geo Function BarLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

The geo function bar enables you to use interactive functions directly in a map that you have attached to your Web application.

Prerequisites

The geo function bar is available under the following prerequisites:

  • You performed the following steps in the Web Application Designer:
    1. You attached the Map Web item to a Web template
    2. You selected the map parameter Geo Function Bar (GEO_FUNCTIONS_POS) and a position for the Geo function bar. More information: Map Web Item
    3. You executed the Web template in the Web browser.
Features

The individual function elements of the Geo function bar are described below:

  • Pan

    Choose Pan to move across the whole map.

    Click on the Pan symbol in the Geo function bar. The function is now active. The symbol for this function is displayed next to the mouse pointer.

    Click with the primary mouse button on the map and use the mouse to move to the new position on the map.

  • Select

    ChooseSelect if you want to enlarge a section of the map.

    1. Click on Select in the Geo function bar. The function is now active. The symbol for this function is displayed next to the mouse pointer.
    2. With the primary mouse button, drag the rectangle on the map so that the corresponding area is enlarged.  Keep the left mouse button pressed down and drag the mouse over the area that you want to enlarge.
    3. Once you have drawn your required rectangle and enlarged the area of the map, let go of the mouse button.
  • West.

    Select this function if you want to move the map to the west.

  • East

    Select this function if you want to move the map to the east.

  • North

    Select this function if you want to move the map to the north.

  • South

    Select this function if you want to move the map to the south.

  • Zoom In

    Choose Zoom In if you want to enlarge the entire map.

  • Zoom Out

    Choose Zoom Out if you want to reduce the size of the entire map.

  • Full Extent

    Choose Full Extent if you want to return to the default view of the map.
