Creating a Query (Enhanced)

A number of new query settings have been added in the General tab.

• Output Settings: The Adjust Formatting after Refreshing setting allows you to decide whether the formatting of the query will be adapted after refreshing.
• Variables: If your query contains variables, this setting allows you to define the order in which the user enters them.
• Universal Display Hierarchy: This setting allows you to define whether characteristics are displayed hierarchically in the rows or columns, and up to which level in this display hierarchy data should be read. This can be significant in terms of performance. Note that the display hierarchy always relates to the current query definition.

On the Sheet Definition tab, you can use reusable objects (now including filters and structures) in the query definition. In addition you can use text variables in description texts for structure elements (formulas or key figures).
