Before you can start to implement the app, ensure that your system landscape has been set up to enable SAP Fiori. This also implies that the front-end components and back-end components for your app are already available in this system landscape:
SAP Fiori System Landscape Options |
|
---|---|
Configuration of Front-End Server |

Back-End Components (Product Version Stack) | SAP S/4HANA Finance 1605 SPS 4 |
SAP HANA Content Component Delivered with (Product Version Stack) | SAP Smart Business for SAP S/4HANA Finance 1605 SPS 2 |
VDM Contained (Product Version Stack) | SAP HANA Live for SAP S/4HANA Finance 1605 SPS 2 |
For more information about the system landscape requirements, see SAP Help Portal at

The Gross-to-Net Sales
analytical app is launched using a KPI tile.
This KPI requires evaluations that specify one or more input parameters. For more information see Configuration Settings: Gross-to-Net Sales.
For the Gross-to-Net Sales
app, the following SAP Notes must be implemented:
Back-End/Front-End Server | SAP Note Number | Description |
---|---|---|
Back-end server and front-end server | Release information note for |
The following sections list tasks that have to be performed to implement the app. You can find the data required to perform these tasks in the SAP Fiori apps reference library under the following link (choose Implementation Information
and select the relevant delivery date):

Note
The app requires the use of the SFIN
operating concern to retrieve detailed posting characteristics (for example, by product group or customer group). For more information about this requirement, see SAP Library for the SAP Simple Finance add-on for SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA
on SAP Help Portal at .
You can find the data required to perform this step in the SAP Fiori apps reference library at https://www.sap.com/fiori-apps-library.
SAP HANA Role | Needed for ... |
---|---|
sap.hba.r.sfin700.roles::SapSmartBusinessControlling | Read access to KPI data (views and XS OData services) |
As a prerequisite for read-access to KPI definition, ensure you have assigned the generic role Smart Business Runtime Role
(sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME
) to all users or roles.
As a prerequisite for KPI modeling, ensure you have assigned the generic role Smart Business Administration Role
(sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_MODELER
) to specific users (e.g. key user, administrator).
For more information about SAP HANA roles, see SAP Help Portal at
.You can find the KPI data required to perform these steps in the SAP Fiori apps reference library at https://www.sap.com/fiori-apps-library.
Needed for | How to generate? |
---|---|
Access to KPI data (only views) | To be generated by the customer using |
Access to KPI definition in KPI catalog | To be assigned by the customer using SAP Smart Business modeler app |
The apps use planning data for comparison, for example, between planned and actual net profit margin. To enable the use of planning data with the app, you must generate a planning view in the SAP HANA server. For more information, see SAP Library for the SAP S/4 HANA Finance, On-Premise Edition
on SAP Help Portal at .
To read your data correctly in the SAP HANA back-end server, you must create hierarchies for cost element groups in the ABAP back-end server. The hierarchies must consist of exactly two levels of groups and cover the following key figures, which are relevant to the KPIs available in this Smart Business cockpit:
Revenue
Sales deductions
Direct costs
Indirect costs
To create each hierarchy, proceed as follows:
Create a cost element group for your key figure.
Under that group, create at least one or more cost element groups for the key figure account subtypes, depending on the desired granularity (for example, for revenue you can create one group for “Interest”and another for “Sales”).
Under each of the subtypes that you create, enter the relevant cost elements (for example, for interest revenue you can enter a cost element for “Interest on Loans”).
An example of the resulting hierarchies is given in the following figure:
For more information about cost element groups, see SAP Library for the SAP S/4 HANA Finance, On-Premise Edition

SAP UI5 Application | Technical Name |
---|---|
Generic Drill-Down Application |

For more information about activating ICF services, see SAP Help Portal at
.There are several steps to be performed to enable the app for access in the SAP Fiori launchpad. You need to assign the following PFCG roles to end users:
Component | Technical Name |
---|---|
Business Role (Needed for Access to KPI Catalog and Generic Drill-Down Application) |
|
The SAP Fiori launchpad is the entry point to apps. In the launchpad, the user can see and access those apps that have been assigned by an administrator to the catalog designed for this user's role.
For more information, see SAP Help Portal at Configuring the Launchpad
and Configuring Authorization Roles
.
