Auction Line Items

The Line Items page displays the line items for suppliers to bid on. For most auction types, line items can be added individually or as part of a package. For Dutch auctions, only single line items can be added.

You can select a view for line items. In each line item view, you can perform one or more tasks. For details, see Specifying an Auction Line Item View.

Function	Description
Default Incoterms	Select an Incoterm from the drop-down list. This is a required field.
Options	Optionally, check one or more of the following: Enable partial quantity bidding: Check this box to allow suppliers to bid on partial quantities of a line item unit. Partial quantity bidding must also be enabled at the line item level to allow suppliers to enter partial quantities for the line item. Enable start price: Check this box to set a price at which bidding will start for the line item and to enable the Multiple Start Price view. This field does not appear in a Dutch auction, where the start price is required. Enable reserve price: Check this box to set a reserve price that bidding must meet or exceed to award the line item. Enable ceiling price: This field is used for Dutch auctions only. Check this box to enter a maximum price for the line item. If a line item’s unit price reaches the ceiling price and no supplier has placed a bid, the line item closes automatically. The ceiling price is not visible to the bidder.
View dropdown	Select a view of the auction line items: Basic View: General information Multiple Start Price View: Start price information per bidder Price View: Detailed price information Miscellaneous View Line Item Specifications: All specifications displayed by assigned line item group Supplier-Entered Attributes: All attributes with their default values, displayed by assigned line item group
Add	Choose this button to add a line item. This button is displayed only if at least one line item group is available. For details, seeSingle Line Items and Packaged Line Items. You cannot create a packaged line item for a Dutch auction. Note Adding a large number of line items may impact system performance. End of the note.
Add Materials	Choose this button to add one or more direct materials to the auction. For details, see Adding and Changing a Material in an Auction.
Delete Selected	Select one or more line items and materials and choose this button to remove them from the auction.
Import Line Items	Choose to import line items. For details, see the section Importing Line Items and Specifications from a CSV File in Import/Export Document Data.
Add Group	Choose this button to add a line item group.
Line Item Setup	Choose to add line item specifications, formulas, and assignments, and to see supplier-entered attributes.
Reorder List	Choose to reorder line item groups by dragging and dropping them in the desired locations. You cannot move a line item from one group to another. To reorder line items, you must first select Basic View from the View dropdown.
