On the Line Item Assignment tab of Line Item Setup, you can track and control the complex properties that are associated with line items. You can use this page to assign line item specifications, supplier-entered attributes, formulas, and bid price formulas to line items.

You make line item assignments to line item groups rather than to individual line items. An assignment to a line item group applies to all line items in the group. By default, all newly created specification and attribute groups are automatically assigned to all line item groups, and newly created line item groups are assigned all line item properties. However, bid unit price formulas are always assigned manually.

Function	Description
Buyer Specification Groups	For each specification group, select the line item groups you want to assign.
Supplier-Entered Attributes	For each attribute group, select the line item groups you want to assign.
Event Formulas	For each formula, select the line item groups you want to assign. You can assign a single formula to multiple line item groups.
Bid Unit Price Formula Assigment	If you selected a formula as the bid unit price formula on the Auction Formula page, it appears here. Change assignments here as needed. You can assign more than one bid unit price formula to a line item group. The bid unit price formula must also be assigned to the appropriate group in the Event Formulas table.
Validate Assignments	Select to ensure that all assigned formulas contain only assigned attributes and specifications.
