In addition to the conventional option of creating a SAPscript file as documentation for a test configuration, you can also append various types of external document as a file or a link to test configurations and variants. Uploaded files are maintained in the central eCATT repository.
To view the list of appended documents and access the functions for adding and maintaining attachments, select the tabs in the relevant test configuration. When you open the list of attachments for the first time, you see the default entry for SAPscript. This is because the conventional option for creating documentation for test configurations using SAPscript is still available. The list of attachments is divided into the following columns:
|
Column |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Attachment Name |
User-specific name of the attachment, or the original file name if the user has not assigned a new name. Note
The attachment name must be no longer than 30 characters. |
|
Default Attachment |
This indicator specifies which of the documents appended to the test configuration is to be used as the default document. The document specified as the default attachment is displayed in eCATT (transaction SECATT) and in the Test Workbench (transaction STWB) when the documentation icon is selected. Note
You can only declare one of the documents assigned to a test configuration as the default attachment. A variant document cannot be a standard attachment. |
|
Attachment Type |
The type of the attachment (file, link, SAPscript). SAPscript refers to the document that is created when the icon for creating documentation is selected in the test configuration. Link assigns documents to a test object as a URL or file path. The attachment type File assigns a file uploaded to the eCATT repository to a test object as an attachment. |
|
File Name/File Path |
If the attachment is a file, this column displays the file name; if it is a link, the complete path (URL/link to central server) is displayed. If the link is longer than 128 characters, you can display the full entry by choosing the arrow symbol. |
|
eCATT Object Type |
Specifies the object type that the attachment is assigned to. Note
Multiple documents can be assigned to a test configuration; only one can be assigned to a variant. |
|
Linked to eCATT Object |
Specifies the name of the test object that this documentation is assigned to. There is a search help for displaying the list of permitted values. |
If you select the detailed view icon in the toolbar, the following additional information is displayed in the list: File size in kilobytes (for SAPscript or a link this value is 0), who inserted the attachment and when (time/date). If the entry has been changed, the person who last changed the entry is also displayed, with the date and time of the change.
The attachment list toolbar contains functions for appending and maintaining attachments. You can assign attachments to test objects, change these attachments, and delete assignments. For a detailed description of the functions, see Appending and Maintaining Document Attachments for Test Objects.
