Use

Web Page Composer provides a set of interfaces that can be used by key users who need to create and manage content within an accessible environment. Accessible Area Management uses the portal's content administration screens to provide access to the content creation and editing features of Web Page Composer. Refer to general accessibility documentation for details about working in accessibility mode.

Accessible Area Management is aimed primarily at business users who use assistive technology, and portal users who require full keyboard access.

Implementation Considerations

The target users of Accessible Area Management must be assigned to the accessible_area_management role. Once you select the accessibility option, Accessible Area Management is added as a separate tab to top-level navigation.

Features

The only features in this section are those where there are differences between how you perform them when you are working in accessibility mode. All the background information for these features is in the appropriate sections. For more information, see Using Web Page Composer .

One additional feature has been added to the accessible environment. You can check if an area, folder or page has been published. To do this, choose Show State in the context menu.

Note

All actions within the accessible environment should be done in the Staging Area folder of the Portal Catalog which is the same folder as can be found in the regular Web Page Composer environment.
