Navigation
In contrast to previous versions, you can access SAP Process Scheduling by Redwood only by its web-based UI, which has been adapted for screen-readers. This UI allows you to access the complete functionality for which you have authorizations. It offers the same features as an application installed on your local workstation, the browser context-menu has been replaced with a product specific context-menu.
Upon successful log-in, the pop up window closes, and the main window refreshes to show the user interface. It may take a few seconds to reorganize the display if this is the first time. The home page shows the status of the entire system. This home page can be used to access other parts of the system.

The following figure shows the main screen.
The title bar at the top of the page provides information about the current session, the ability to change language, and (on the far right-hand side) a logout button. The tool-bar is below the title bar, it provides access to frequently used facilities. The navigation bar is on the left-hand side, this allows access to the different screens that are shown in the main pane on the right-hand side. More details about these are provided later.
You can use the navigation bar on the left-hand side to access different objects within the system.
Choose Definitions, this shows all the definitions.
Choose Job Definitions. A new tab opens on the right-hand side, showing a list of all job definitions in alphabetical order by name.
Choose the first job in the list. A preview pane appears. The preview pane shows more detailed information about the currently selected object in the table.
Select the System_Info job in the list. When this job definition is selected the preview pane changes to show its details.
In the details pane, choose the Name, a new tab is created with only that job definition; it is the show page. Now, use the context menu of System_Info in the table. A pop up menu appears.
Choose Submit. This opens the Submit Wizard. In the Submit Wizard times and dates at which the job runs can be specified, as well as the queue and priority to use. This job runs fine with the defaults, so choose Submit in the white box on the left-hand side.
Select Show all jobs, and press the submit button on the bottom row. This closes the Submit Wizard and the job monitor is displayed where the newly submitted job is displayed. If the system is busy choose Refresh from the context menu to see the new job.
Select the new job in the table, and move to the preview pane. Here information about the currently submitted job is displayed. Some items have a plus (+) in a box next to them, these can be expanded to show more information. The second item with a plus (+) next to is Files, this shows the files that the job created while it was running.
Choose plus (+) to expand this. This job created two files while it was running, a file containing the output and another containing eventual errors.
Choose the file name, this opens a new tab, showing the file contents. The file contains a list of System Properties and other information that is useful for SAP Support if there is a problem.
Choose the (x) on the left in the tab to close the tab (hover over the little icon), this takes you back to the job monitor.
The following figure shows the title and tool-bars.

Depending on the currently selected overview, more overview-specific icons can be displayed on the title-bar.
All objects have actions associated with them. In some cases not all actions are available.
There are three reasons why this may be:
The local security policy
Restrictions in the license.
The object has become read-only, like a job that has reached the status queued.
There are 5 basic actions that are supported by most objects:
New - create a new object
Edit - edit an existing object
Delete - delete an object
Export - export the object to a CAR file for backup
Refresh - refresh the current overview to display recent changes
Many objects also support specific actions. Some examples are:
Jobs can be restarted, resubmitted, held, released, and so on.
Job definitions and job chains can be submitted as jobs.
Queues can be held and released
Process servers can be started and stopped.
Some actions require further input before they can be completed, these actions are shown with a trailing ellipsis (...) to indicate that further input is required. Actions without the trailing ellipsis are executed immediately.
Example actions that require further input: Edit, Add Job Note and Resubmit.
Example actions that don't require further input: Hold, Release and Refresh
Additional actions for navigation:
Help - display the help topic covering the current tab
Refresh - update the display for the current tab
Close tab - will close the current tab and switch to the previously selected tab.
Close all other tabs - closes all tabs except for the current tab
Licence restrictions can prevent the following actions:
Creating job definitions -in this case only standard job definitions or ones imported from CCMS are available.
Editing or Duplicating job definitions of type System - these are supplied by Redwood.
Creating job definition types - these are supplied by Redwood.
Creating Users or Roles - these are automatically synchronized with SAP UME.
Furthermore, it is not possible to create or delete time zones, as these are fixed. It is possible to change the description of a time zone.
