You can use these functions to display the HTTP load balancing settings of the message server and to load data from the Internet Communication Framework (ICF) to the message server.
The functions are only relevant if you are using HTTP load distribution using the SAP message server.
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you use the SAP Web Dispatcher for this.
To display the list of functions, from the message server monitor choose
.As an HTTP client, the message server is connected to all the logged on application servers that are running the ICM. The message server fetches information about the URL prefixes and logon groups so that it can redirect inbound HTTP requests to the correct server.
The URL prefixes defined for the logon groups in transaction SICF are listed here. The logon groups are defined and maintained in transaction SMLG.
You can prompt the message server to load the current logon group details.
The URL prefixes defined for the services in transaction SICF are listed here. These are the URLs that are to be processed in ABAP work processes. If the message server contacts a URL that none of the prefixes match, it forwards the request to the AS Java provided it is running.
