This parameter determines the rendering of an application in the Web browser of the user. This is important especially in the mySAP.com Business Suite Enterprise Portal.

This value determines the correct rendering of the Web browser for screen-based applications, which use the HTML templates automatically generated by the SAP GUI for HTML or a combination of manually and automatically generated HTML templates (mixed mode).

If you do not set this value, the application may run nevertheless, but the rendering isn’t correct.
