Deleting a PAL Printer

Procedure

If you want to delete a PAL Printer, check whether the PAL Printer is member of a Printer Group or not. If yes, check whether the Printer Group is distributed to a Target System Group. In the latter case, you must dissolve the distribution , and then remove the PAL Printer from the Printer Group as described in Creating a Printer Group section Remove Printer from Printer Group.

Then select the PAL Printer in the PAL object list and click Delete.

Note Note

This action will only delete the printer definition in PAL.

Result

The PAL Printer no longer exists in transaction PAL. This means that the associated output device is no longer under PAL control, but it still exists in SPAD. It is also possible to use this output device for creating a new PAL Printer.
