Use

Execute net revenue and billing quantity planning for the relevant plan year and in rolling planning for the current business year. The planning folder determines the customer level on which you plan net revenue and billing quantity.

The planning layouts for planning net revenue and billing quantity are largely identical for all roles and planning levels. Only the various plan versions are role-specific.

Planning Layouts for Annual Planning of Net Revenue and Billing Quantity

You can execute planning for the plan year using the planning layouts for annual planning of net revenue and billing quantity.

The following applies to these planning layouts:

·        The columns provide the following values:

¡        Actual: This column shows the previous year’s actual values (not ready for input), cumulated over the whole previous (fiscal) year.

¡        Current Forecast (FC): This column displays the current plan (not ready for input) from the last rolling planning process, cumulated over the whole of the current fiscal year.

¡        Forecast: This column displays the forecast (not ready for input) that was automatically generated using the actual data for the plan year (fiscal year).

¡        Target: This column displays the top-down plan target (not ready for input) of the hierarchically next-higher role for the plan year (fiscal year).

¡        Delta Target/Forecast (FC): This column displays the difference (%) between the target for the plan year and the current forecast for the current year (not ready for input).

¡        Bottom-Up: This column displays the aggregated and released bottom-up plan for the hierarchically lower role for the plan year. The plan cannot be changed.

¡        Plan: You enter your plan for the plan year in this column. You can enter plan values manually or copy them to the version to be planned from other plan versions. The time characteristics (posting period, 0FISCPER3) are hidden in columns and can also be expanded. When you enter plan values the data is automatically distributed top-down to the posting periods or aggregated bottom-up, so you can plan for individual posting periods or for the whole year.

¡        Customer agreement: You enter your customer agreement for the plan year in this column. This enables you to compare the plan and the customer agreement.

¡        +/- %: If you enter a value in this column and then execute the planning function Calculate +/- %, the values in the Plan column are adjusted by the specified percentage value.

·        The product levels in the rows are arranged hierarchically and can be enhanced. Here too, the entered values are automatically assigned top-down to product levels or aggregated bottom-up.

·        When you exit the planning layouts for planning the billing quantity, the planned net revenue is calculated automatically; when you exit the planning layouts for planning the net revenue, the planned billing quantity is calculated. At the same time, the relevant values are distributed to the subsequent customer level.

·        You can display and change the result of this distribution in overview layouts.  The business partner group levels are hidden in columns in these layouts and can be expanded.

Planning Layouts for Rolling Planning of Net Revenue and Billing Quantity

You execute rolling planning several times in the course of a year. The starting point for rolling planning is the company plan or, if need be, the current rolling plan (current forecast) and the forecast for the plan year.

Rolling planning is executed in a similar fashion to annual planning.  However, the following differences apply:

·        Rolling planning is based only on the remaining months of the current year.

When the actual data (4TPM9151) is copied, the working plan version is filled with the actual values from the completed periods, and when planning is called a help version is filled with reference data for the relevant months.

·        In addition, the plan that has been agreed upon across the different company areas is released finally as a current forecast, not as a business plan.  This procedure ensures that the business plan is retained as a yardstick for the whole year.

·        The columns provide the following values:

¡        Actual Previous Year (PY)

¡        Actual PY YTD

¡        Actual Current Year (CY)

¡        Forecast CY

¡        Business Plan YTD

¡        Current Forecast

¡        Bottom-Up

¡        Plan

¡        +/-
