Information Lifecycle Management
This InfoArea comprises Business Intelligence Content for SAP NetWeaver Information Lifecycle Management and is solely intended for displaying data that was stored using the Retention Warehouse. Therefore, do not use this BI Content in a system together with other BI Content.
Before using this BI Content, note the following:
This BI Content functions solely with data stored in SAP NetWeaver ILM; it cannot be used for other areas. Due to this restriction, the content objects that we provide (and those that you generate later) are in the namespaces /ILM/ and /RWC/ and do not with begin with 0 like other BI Content.
To be able to use this BI Content, you must activate the following business functions:
Predefined Retention Warehouse Content for Tax Auditing (ILM_RWC_TAX) or
Predefined Retention Warehouse Content for Product Liability (ILM_RWC_PRODUCT_LIABILITY).
You can use this BI Content in the same system with SAP NetWeaver ILM; or you can connect a separate SAP NetWeaver BI system to the SAP NetWeaver ILM system by means of an RFC connection.
This content does not include any DataSources, since the system accesses the archived data in the SAP NetWeaver ILM system directly using APIs.
The InfoObjects of this InfoArea are provided in English only (they are not translated into other languages). Therefore, before you extract data to SAP BW in the SAP NetWeaver ILM system, run program RIWP_TOOL_04.
You also have to make additional settings in the SAP NetWeaver ILM system. In certain circumstances, you might need to generate additional BW objects. This depends on the exact data that you have stored and on the release level of the decommissioned system. For more information, see the documentation for SAP NetWeaver ILM under:

The BI Content of this InfoArea consists mainly of VirtualProviders and queries that are based on them relating to the topics of tax auditing and product liability. The VirtualProviders provide a layer that is independent of the audit area, on the basis of which the queries are delivered. The generated InfoProviders (InfoCubes or DataStore objects), which are independent of the audit area, return the displayed data. The VirtualProviders ensure correct mapping between InfoProviders and queries.
Note
Some objects are provided for technical reasons only. These include the dummy key figure (/ILM/KDUMMY) and the queries having a technical name beginning with RWC_EXPORTQ. These queries are only needed for formatting the data in the SAP Audit Format.
