This work center is the central access to all the information and functions you need to implement and upgrade SAP solutions.

It comprises views in which you can describe, configure, and test business processes and scenarios within a project. You can perform typical tasks that you need frequently for implementation and upgrades.

Prerequisites

You are authorized for this work center.

Features

Overview

You have a project status diagram. You can choose between the following project views:

  • My Projects

    Shows the projects to which you are assigned.

  • All Projects

    Shows the projects for which you are authorized

The project status is derived as follows:

  • Current projects

  • Completed projects

    Projects in whose project administration actual data the project end is in the past

  • Overdue projects

    Projects in whose project administration plan data the project end is in the past, but the project end, or a project milestone, is not in the past in the actual data

Projects

There is a Project List, sorted by project type and status, depending on the active query. When you mark a project in the list, the system displays details of this project below the list.

  • Project header data

  • Existing locks in Business Blueprint:

    In Solution Manager Project Administration, you can determine the scope of a project. You can, for example, lock changes to the project structure, to freeze a Business Blueprint or restrict the expansion of a project. For more information, see Project Administration.

  • Status of Change Request Management

    The system shows whether a maintenance or project cycle has been started to manage change requests.

  • Assigned roadmaps

    To go to a roadmap, click on it.

  • Assigned resources (project team member)

You can perform the following actions on a selected project:

  • Display project administration data

  • Change project header data configuration

  • Change project structure in Business Blueprint

  • Plan, check and perform activation of business functions in Switch Framework Cockpit

Rating

You can specfiy your business processes with the available information and tools:

  • SAP Business Maps

    You can call industry-specific SAP Business Maps on the SAP website.

  • SAP standard scenarios

    You can call the Business Process Repository and access SAP Best Practices content, in the SAP Service Marketplace.

  • Customer Business Maps

    You can get SAP Solution Composer information, create your own Business Maps with the SAP Solution Composer or edit SAP Business Maps, on the SAP website.

  • Customer scenarios

    You can call projects and the Solution Directory.

Planning

There are functions to convert the requirements into a detailed design or Business Blueprint:

  • Projects

    You can create and edit projects.

  • Business Blueprint

    You can define Business Blueprints.

  • Roadmap

    You can display existing roadmaps and define new ones. You can also add structure elements to roadmaps, or change them.

Create

There are functions with which you can configure applications and create a business model in accordance with specifications:

  • Configuration

    You can configure your process requirements in the system as defined in the Business Blueprint.

  • Customizing distribution and synchronization

    You can distribute selected customizing settings from a source system to other SAP systems.

  • Managing learning materials

    You can create role-specific Learning Maps.

  • BC Sets

    You can display, edit, and activate Business Configuration sets (BC sets).

Testing

There are functions for the whole of test management and testing:

  • Test Cases

    You can create test cases for your business processes.

  • Testing

    You can call your worklist in the test.

  • Test Plan Management

    You can call test plan management to create test plans and test case packages.

  • Central Test Workbench

    You can configure central settings of the Test Workbench, for example, status values for tests.

Prepare Production Start

There are tools and services to support production start:

  • Going live

    You can transfer the project to a solution after completion, to monitor and manage processes.

  • SAP services for operational processing

    You can call SAP GoingLive Check and SAP EarlyWatch Alert, to analyze the production system.

Analyses

You can analyze the project status in a structured list of reports and report variants.
