You are an outsourcer and are operating multiple clients for various customers on one SAP System. You want to restrict the output devices for individual clients, so that each customer sees only their own output devices.

Procedure

Follow the procedure below to create an output device for individual clients:

  1. Start Spool Administration by calling transaction SPAD.

  2. Create an output device as described in the sections under Output Devices in the SAP Spool System.

  3. In the device definition, choose Start of the navigation path Extras Next navigation step Display Client Field End of the navigation path, and enter the desired client.

  4. Save the output device.

    Note Note

    If you want to display an overview of all output devices for a client, on the Spool Administration initial screen, choose Start of the navigation path Settings Next navigation step Display “Client” Field End of the navigation path, and enter the name of the client.

Result

Users can only print on the output devices that have been defined for the client in which they are working.
