Action Determination
Determination generates proposals for actions when specific conditions occur. This can take place automatically or manually.
The technology for evaluating conditions can be adapted to meet the requirements of the relevant applications. Both simple yes/no operators and complex technologies, for example the workflow condition editor, are possible.
Determination is called automatically when the application document is saved after relevant changes. It uses the attributes of a business object to check whether the conditions for scheduling actions apply. The actions found are inserted into the action list according to the merging rule.
Determination using conditions can be implemented in the following ways:
Workflow condition editor. For more information, see Condition Editor.
Business Add-In EVAL_SCHEDCOND_PPF. For more information, see Condition Evaluation.
Actions can be created, changed, or deleted manually when editing the application document. A new action is then inserted into the action list according to the merging rule. Manually created actions are not changed or deleted by automatic action determination.
