Test service

Integrated ITS

If you want to test the Internet service with the integrated ITS, use the corresponding ICM server for the SAP system, which was set up by the system administrator (transaction SMICM).

Select the protocol to be used (HTTP or HTTPS). The ICM host name used for the URL generation and the corresponding port are displayed next to the relevant radio button.

Enter the path under which the Internet service is stored in the ICF service tree (transaction SICF). The Default Path is sap/bc/gui/sap/its. Choose Other Path if your Internet service was not stored under this subtree and enter the relevant path name.

Other server

Regardless of the default ITS server, you can enter the (valid) name of an external ITS server (and port number, if necessary) in this input field.

Enter <its_hostname>:<port number> in the Server field and the path name in the Path field (default path is /scripts/wgate/).

If you want to generate an HTTPS URL, you should mark the field Use HTTPS.

Caution Caution

Note the assignment of the Web server to an SAP system. If you specify a Web server belonging to the ITS instance of a different SAP system, the service will be started on a different SAP system to the one from which it was published.

End of the caution.

Publish

Integrated ITS

The service is published on the integrated ITS.

The message that follows successful publication is only displayed if the service could be published successfully on all ITS instances. Errors occurring on any instance are logged. Normally, this setting should no longer be used.

In local directory

You can also publish an Internet service in your local file directory. This directory can be used as temporary storage for the files.
