The ITSmobile services delivered by SAP use the tried-and-tested ITS template technique. This technique is based on the concept that an HTML template for visualization in the browser is provided for every screen (dynpro) of the application. Dynamic content/data can be included in the templates at runtime using HTMLBusiness (HTMLB).

With the Mobile Devices generation style, the ITS offers the possibility of directly generating the templates for simple screens, which you can then adjust to your requirements, if necessary.

ITSmobile contains the following two services for creating screens quickly:

  • The ITSGENMOBILE service with templates for the HTML generator

    The ITSGENMOBILE service contains all templates that are required to generate application screens (dynpros).

    You only need to adjust these templates if you want to change the generator itself. Options for modifying the generator: Performing Customizing of ITSmobile.

  • The ITSMOBILE service with templates for runtime support

    The ITSMOBILE service functions as the standard runtime service for supporting the application services. The application services share the following resources that are provided by the ITSMOBILE service:

    • All generated application services obtain their JavaScript (file mobile.js) and their CSS stylesheets (file mobile.css) from this service.

    • The service also provides a CUA status bar containing the title and enter and cancel buttons for all services (file: include/cuaarea.html).

    • The service also contains a generic template for displaying search help pages (file: searchhelp.html).

    • In addition to these resources that are directly accessed in the generated services, a small number of icons from the SAP GUI area are also provided for making individual changes.

    When customizing the generated templates, you can integrate your own JavaScript or CSS. You can also develop your own templates for the CUA area and search help. You simply need to replace the link in the generated template to the standard service ITSMOBILE with your own implementation.
