Simple Model Without Operational Data Store

In this model, data is loaded from homogeneous source systems or from one source system only and therefore does not require complex integration or consolidation processes:

Process

The data is saved in the data warehouse layer in Data Store objects. It is stored in granular form. The data structure is denormalized: Document headers and items are extracted using a DataSource and stored in the DataStore object.
The data is then written to an InfoCube in the architected data mart layer. The InfoCube contains data in an aggregated form. This is optimized for multidimensional analysis.
