Functions on Web Page Can Be Activated and Deactivated Individually

The system displays a number of functions at the top of each Web page (Feedback, RSS, E-Mail, Print, Add To Favorites). As of the new support package, you can choose in the page editor which of these functions you want to display. You can activate and deactivate each function individually.

More information: Creating Web Pages and Using Web Page Functions

RSS Link List

As of the new support package, you can create RSS link lists in addition to conventional link lists. An RSS link list displays the title of the first five entries of any RSS feed.

More information: Web Forms in the Standard System

HTML Editor with Advanced Scope

Until now, there was an HTML editor in Web forms with basic editing features (bold, italics, underline, indent, outdent, numbered list, bulleted list, insert link, and insert graphic).

As of the new support package, there is another HTML editor with advanced features (all functions of the existing editor, plus align left, align center, align right, text style, text size, text color, background color, insert special characters, insert horizontal line, and table functions).

You can use both HTML editors in the standard article editor. Proceed as follows:

To add a paragraph using the existing HTML editor, choose the Paragraph element in the dropdown list at the top.

To add a paragraph using the new HTML editor, choose the Advanced Paragraph element in the dropdown list at the top.

If you create your own Web forms, you can specify which of the two HTML editors is to be used. Of course, you can make available neither or both of the HTML editors.

More information: Web Forms in the Standard System

List of All Localized Variants of a Navigation Node

Until now, you could display a list of all localized variants only for Web pages. As of the new support package, this function is also available for navigation nodes.

More information: Translating Navigation Nodes

Publication Status

In the Web Site Management iView, the system displays a new column showing the publication status of Web pages.

More information: Publishing Web Pages

Transporting Web Sites

The standard Knowledge Management transport function was enhanced in the new support package. You can now transport entire Web sites, for example, from a test system to a production system.

More information: Transport (Enhanced)

Changing and Translating Labels for Web Content

When creating new configuration objects that are required for use in new page layouts or web forms, you can specify bundle files that contain keys and labels for translation purposes.

More information: Using Bundle Files for Multilingual Texts

Other Improvements

When you edit a Web page in the page editor, the system displays the name, the regional settings, and the publication status of the page in the title bar of the browser window.

Until now, you had to open the Details dialog box to change the owner or the description of a site. As of the new support package, you can find the new command Edit in the context menu for a site. If you choose this command, a new dialog box appears in which you can change the owner and the description of the site.

There is a new input field in standard Web forms that you can insert graphics in, for example, the banner editor. You can enter tooltips for the graphics in this field.

Effects on Existing Data

On Web pages that you published before the upgrade, all functions (Feedback, RSS,E-Mail, Print, Add To Favorites) are still visible after the upgrade.

However, if you publish a Web page again after the upgrade, you must choose which functions are to be displayed. By default, only the Edit Page function appears. All other functions are deactivated by default.
